![]() ![]() Other improvements to this version also come to the networking capabilities, a fix to long pauses when popping out windows and also ensuring the “totally out of VRAM” crash has been resolved. This is a feature for those on professional licenses, but now a new grid system will help you blend your multiple projector displays much easier than before. In particular, the code for the controls wheel inertia, weld modelling and the ABS has all been revised to produce more realistic landings and less forward pitch/slamming during rollout.Īnother area that X-Plane 12.0.8 will see improvement in is projector warping/blending. Engines aren’t the only improved area, as landing gear has seen an overhaul. This includes improvements to engine performance, especially on jets and turboprops – following data much more closely. X-Plane 12.0.8 will have a big focus on the flight model. That means the next version of X-Plane will be X-Plane 12.0.8. ![]() X-Plane 12.01, X-Plane 12.02), but as of the next update, will move to a ‘two dot’ system. So far, they have only used a ‘one dot’ system (e.g. At that point, the sim was only about a minute or two behind flightradar24.It may not be the most exciting part of the update, but Thomson really wanted to clarify to users that X-Plane 12 will be shifting to a new version numbering system. I live under a regular flight path of PD helicopters, and after I returned to Fullerton I was able to "fly along" with that helicopter in the sim while watching them on flightradar24. The other benefit of switching ATC frequencies in Live ATC is that the amount of chatter is appropriate for that leg of your journey. Good thing is that seemed to be only if you land at a busy airport and watch traffic because seeing all the planes "line up and wait" is a nice novelty. You can actually hear the ATC chatter for the traffic in your area and see those planes in the sim, but there is sometimes a time delay between real-life ATC and when that traffic shows up in the sim. The only issue I have is that it doesn't generate ATC chatter based on traffic behavior, so if you want the ATC "feel" you need to also have a site like "LiveATC" playing for your local center, and switch it as you fly through different control areas. I flew from Fullerton (SoCal) to Las Vegas in the Skyhawk, and it was awesome seeing the airplanes lined up on final at Ontario as I flew over. I installed Live Traffic over the weekend, and it dramatically changed my experience in the sim. This is targeted at re-selling and guerilla marketing.
